The Double Neck Guitar

Jimmy Page playing Stairway To Heaven or Don Felder Playing Hotel California are iconic images of double neck guitars in concert. The purpose was for those players to switch from 6 string to 12 string format without having to change guitars.

Patrick Lamb brought a double neck that was a 6 string and bass double neck. In a show band, a guitar player would reach around while he played bass.
